NEW STUFF!
WE ARE BACK! AND SPRING HAS SPRUNG... While we have been settling in to our new digs, & tending to our lovely garden, we just realized that it has been way too long since we have sent out a newsletter. Now that we have a chance to reflect post moving... Our quite stressful, chaotic, & unexpected move the week of Christmas in December brought us to a much better place. We are so grateful for many blessings that this home is giving us. Have you ever had a fortune cookie that had more depth than the usual, "You will receive a gift in the future," or "An old friend will contact you." ??? Well, Phil's recent fortune actually said, "Don't curse the darkness. Instead, light a candle." And then our electricity literally went out for 12 hours haha! (We did have notice ahead of time that we might lose power; Edison Elec. had been working in our neighborhood.) So, are there "difficult" things happening in your life, that we could lend you our candles for??? (Is that too deep for our opening paragraph?)

Aidan Keith-Hynes has been teaching our Beginner WCS series (drop-ins always welcome; no partner needed), & also DJing a set of great music later in the night! We have had some of our biggest nights in the last month; things are growing! Phil & I teach Intermediate & Advanced classes together, & then DJ! (See details below, or click on link above.)
CONGRATS TO OUR DANCE TEAM! THEY HAD SOME GREAT PERFORMANCES WITH THE LAST WCS ROUTINE, & HAD OVER 1600 VIEWS on FB! THEY ARE WORKING HARDER THAN EVER (SINCE SO MANY PEOPLE ARE WATCHING THEM NOW HAHA!) ON A BRAND NEW ROUTINE... STAY TUNED!
We are still looking for a few more team people; let us know if interested. It's a great time to start.
MY STORY TITLE: BIG CAKE, LITTLE STRAWBERRY.
PHIL'S STORY TITLE: IF SOMEBODY ASKS U TO GET THEM A FORK, FIND OUT WHY FIRST.
We were having a dessert night... I had ONE chocolate covered strawberry, & Phil had one BIG piece of red velvet cake. I tried to take a pic showing the size difference, but he didn't want the evidence. I asked him for a fork, since I was already comfy on the couch. He got it for me (even though he had also been comfy on the couch.) I wondered why he didn't ask why I needed a fork for my one, very little strawberry. Then I sampled his cake haha! Only two bites. He got so upset, & with those angry eyes said, "You picked the two best corners, with all the icing. You ruined my ratio!" He didn't even know about ratios until I came along. Then he added, "You took my cream cheese frosting, & left me the dry cake." Guess he found out what the fork was for. And just for the record, it was a small fork, with two small bites. Next time I will be quicker with getting a pic for the show & tell.

We have punch cards available for purchase: ten classes for $100 w/ the eleventh class FREE! You can use the card for my classes or Phil's classes. Punch cards do not expire. We do take credit cards in person or through our web-store.

Call You Out!
Here is where we get to pick on our readers (instead of each other)! Phil is calling out Lori Ann. It was her birthday yesterday; she celebrated by dancing at Memories in Whittier. She baked lots of treats (cookies, truffles etc.) & brought them to share. Amazing... only two problems. Lori Ann said, "I ruined Phil's nutritional goals in one evening. He (Phil) said that he was on a serious sugar high! He had trouble counting. We were giggling!"

Payment & Options: Dance DVSs are $35 each (plus tax if credit card payment). Credit card payments are available in person, (or cash or check in person is fine also), or through our web store. If order your DVDs through our website, you have the option to click the "pick up at class" option (to avoid shipping charges), or you can have them shipped.

GUEST INSTRUCTORS CHRISTIAN COUNTRY ROUND-UP DANCE: ALL ARE WELCOME! SPRING FLING & STRAWBERRY FEST! FREE FOR FIRST TIMERS!
You can usually find us at the Clubhouse in Placentia (formerly the Atomic) on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the CCR Dance. We will teach two Intermediate classes:
6:45pm NIGHTCLUB 2-STEP & 7:25pm WEST COAST SWING (Must know your basics; no partner needed). There is usually a theme & treats! (There are also Beginner classes.) Open Dancing is a mix of music. FIRST TIMERS FREE (except on a few special occasions). We are both available for private lessons there, but with limited space & time slots. Please schedule in advance.

COST: $20, or $15 for SoCal Christian Dance Club Members. Membership is only $20 for the entire year.
* All of our classes are drop-in (some do run in a series). No partner needed for any of our classes. No prior dance experience needed for Beginner classes. Two left feet are welcomed; we will introduce you to your right foot! (Phil wanted credit for that last comment.)
* Once you have moved up from our Beginner level classes to Intermediate and then later Advanced, you are welcome to continue taking our Beginner classes for FREE! We want to encourage you to continue working on your basics; that is most important to develop a strong foundation. The best dancers usually are the ones who have worked on their basics for years. When you keep taking Beginner classes, you are also helping the new students to progress faster, since they get to rotate & dance with more experienced dancers.
