GLASSES + SALSA = ???
On Friday, I had my annual eye exam. Phil (my limo driver) came with me, since I had to get my eyes dilated. The vision tech was examining my eyes to get preliminary measurements. He told us about his four year-old son. I told him that Phil had four grand kids. He was quite surprised, & thought that Phil was about forty three. (Phil is trying to argue now that it was forty two. Excuse me.) Phil got excited & said, "This is going in the newsletter!" Meanwhile, the tech found out we were dance teachers, so my appointment quickly shifted into a salsa & swing discussion. The tech is planning to go to class on Wednesday for salsa at Memories (shameless plug). Ten minutes later, there was a knock at the door. The optometrist wanted to know if everything was ok; she was waiting for us to finish the measurements, but we forgot where we were. We tried to finish, but got sidetracked again with dance. After some time, there was another knock on the door from the irritated ophthalmologist. He wanted know why we weren't done yet. He waiting for us as well. We found out that I was the last appointment of the day, & that we were keeping them over-time. No wonder they were getting impatient. Anyway... tip for growing older: Find the settings on your cell phone, click on display, & then you can adjust the font size to huge! (Thanks Phil, for this gem.)
CALL YOU OUT!
Here is where we get to pick on our readers, instead of each other haha! We are calling out Cindy, from the wild sock contest. What really happened was that John bought several pairs of wild socks for the contest. He let Cindy pick the pair she wanted (Belle), & he wanted to wear pink & gray Dumbo socks with big floppy ears. But Cindy told John that he couldn't do that. I bet they were surprised when they saw that I was wearing the same exact Dumbo socks! I found them in the kids department on our Florida trip in January. John & I could have been twin-zies. And he could have been tied with me in the top three. Oh well.
TUNE-UP YOUR PLAYLIST!
We want to share with you our favorite songs of the week!
Mindia's Pick: : "How Would You Feel " Ed Sheeran (Nightclub 2-Step)
Phil's Pick: "Back to Beautiful" by Sophia Carson (West Coast Swing)
