A Day in the Life of...

NEW STUFF!
So it's my birthday party this Saturday... you all better come LOL. Mindia just left the room, now you know who the writer is!
But I am back from checking my laundry... Mindia here. Sneaky Phil. We took the night off from our Thursday event at Elks, just so we could work on this newsletter. Not exactly. We did have some time off today. Phil wanted to go to Chili's for dinner. After we finished eating, he requested his free birthday dessert. Chocolate molten meltdown. With an extra scoop of vanilla ice cream. And the staff sang to him. Phil said that this was the start of his bday celebrations for the month. But I questioned that, & asked if there was something sooner. Guilty as charged. Phil looked at me & said, "You mean that half gone half gallon of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream in our freezer??? The thing that is hidden under my ice pack for my shoulder???" Hmmm. Good thing I am not big on ice cream. Phil just chimed in that we need to tell the chasing of the ice cream truck story next month. Will do.

JULY 6th: PHIL'S BIRTHDAY PARTY w/ TWO CAKE OPTIONS!
Join us for our fun, monthly event. Usually 150 to 200 dancers come out to share their passion. COUNTRY 2-STEP, NIGHTCLUB 2-STEP, & WEST COAST SWING WORKSHOPS (must be at least Intermediate level), followed by SOCIAL DANCING! Private lessons may be available. 2019 INTERNATIONAL FLASHMOB/RALLY WCS
We are having a lot of fun with everyone learning this great routine. Big turnouts on Mondays & Wednesdays. We are only taking new people at this point IF you know parts A & B well. Honestly.
MONDAYS at Rebekah Lodge in El Segundo
7 to 8pm.
WEDNESDAYS at Memories in Whittier
8 to 9pm.
*NOTE* NO CLASSES WEDNESDAY, JULY 10th at Memories in Whittier. Why not? Phil is taking the night off for his actual Bday!
Let us know if you are looking for a partner. Classes will rotate for now. Must know WCS basics. International performance on 1st Saturday, September 7th (venue TBA). Here is where we get to pick on our readers, instead of each other! I'm calling out the entire Intermediate WCS class from Thursday, June 27th at Westchester Elks! I was sharing about the evolution of WCS, & how it has changed over the years. Then I mentioned that I began WCS in 1996, in the Philly area (where I'm from). Nobody stopped me & said, "Hey, wait a minute. You are too young; that's not possible. You are supposed to be Forever 21." Lol Lol.

Private lessons may be available with Phil or myself. You will have fun, & learn stuff too! Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays. Various venues. Let us know if interested. Privates may also be split between 2 to 4 people (maybe more). Ask for the $5 discount per DVD when you schedule.

We have two DVDs available, Beginner & Intermediate WCS. You can purchase them with a credit card in person (cash or check is fine also), or through our web store! More info about payment & options under Highlights.
PUNCH CARDS
We have punch cards available for purchase: ten classes for $100 w/ the eleventh class FREE! Punch cards do not expire. We do take credit cards in person or through our web-store.

*DANCE DVD'S!: Payment & Options: Dance DVSs are $35 each (plus tax if credit card payment). Credit card payments are available in person, (or cash or check in person is fine also), or through our web store. If order your DVDs through our website, you have the option to click the "pick up at class" option (to avoid shipping charges), or you can have them shipped.

* All of our classes are drop-in (some do run in a series). No partner needed for any of our classes. No prior dance experience needed for Beginner classes. Two left feet are welcomed; we will introduce you to your right foot! (Phil wanted credit for that last comment.)
* Once you have moved up from our Beginner level classes to Intermediate and then later Advanced, you are welcome to continue taking our Beginner classes for FREE! We want to encourage you to continue working on your basics; that is most important to develop a strong foundation. The best dancers usually are the ones who have worked on their basics for years. When you keep taking Beginner classes, you are also helping the new students to progress faster, since they get to rotate & dance with more experienced dancers.
