NEW STUFF!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We are so fortunate to be a part of this amazing dance community. And Phil & I are so blessed to have each other. Despite all of our banterings, we really do love each other. (So serious!) No classes/dance this coming Thursday; we will be having dinner with Phil's son Robert, daughter-in-law Kristen, & our two grandkids Jacob & Aiden. Maybe we will get some good stories for next time lol! Phil says, "Yes, Mindia is a grandmother!"
HOLIDAY SPECIAL on DVDs!
From now until Christmas, our DVDs are on sale for $25 each! Great for gifts for friends. You can buy DVDs from us in person, or visit our web-store!
THURSDAY UPDATES: NEW BEGINNER SERIES & DANCE TEAM PERFORMS!
Thanks to Jason Fung for teaching our Beginner WCS classes the last few months at Westchester Elks Lodge. Great job! He will be busy with some work projects the next few months, so David Amborn will be teaching the next Beginner series starting Thursday, December 3rd! Tell your friends who want to come learn.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 17th... our Dance team will perform! We have added new choreography to their last routine; come see the full routine for the first time! We will be starting to work on a brand new routine; very classic style with mostly pattern partner dancing. Please inquire if interested in joining!
DON'T SMUDGE THE FUDGE!
Around holiday time, Phil likes to bake goodies! He decided to make chocolate fudge the other night. I could smell it cooking, & couldn't wait to sample a taste. As soon as he poured it into the pan to cool & set, I went to steal some. He scolded me & told me to wait until it it hardened more. Did I listen... Of course not. SO GOOD! The next morning, he got up before me to go the gym (I need my beauty rest.) When I got up, & walked into the kitchen, I saw a big sign across the top of the fudge: "KEEP YOUR PAWS OFF!" Haha. Can you blame me? I'm only human (& part kitty... meow! For those of you who missed my Halloween costume, I was a wild cat!) Tonight we were choreographing for a group of amazing ladies, & Phil passed out some fudge. We then found out that one them is a chef, & when she gave the thumbs up for the fudge, & wanted more, Phil was beyond proud of himself! Go see Chef Pepper, owner of The Patio Restaurant & Sports Bar in Fullerton.
TUESDAY UPDATE: MINDIA'S CLASSES
I will be taking a longer time out from my Tuesday classes than expected. I do have some hip issues that I am having treatment for, so I wanted to ease up my schedule temporarily. Also Phil & I found out recently that we need to move (unexpectedly), by the end of December, so there is lots to do to take care of that. I feel sad & disappointed about missing Tuesdays, but need to trust the timing of things. I had tried so hard to find a venue, but it wasn't manifesting. Finding out that I needed to make space for a few other priorities gave me more clarity about the situation. More lessons in honoring life's ripening process! Thanks to so many of you who have expressed kind words about our special Tuesday adventures. It has been a true gift to me to realize just how many of you have loved & appreciated that experience. Thank you for sharing how much you have missed it. I will re-group in January after our move, & hopefully can resume my classes then.
NEW YEAR'S EVE DANCE PARTY
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31st, 2015 at Westchester Elks Lodge! TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE... DISCOUNT PRICES if purchased in advance.
NEWSFLASH:
Two Amazing men, Steve Axelrod (my Dad) & Russ Axelrod (my brother) are in search of two lovely ladies (a mother-daughter duo would be fun, but not necessary), to accompany them at our New Year's Eve Dance! They will be flying in from Florida to join us for the festivities. Guaranteed fun! (For additional laughs, go to my FB wall & look at the post & picture about this.) And by the way, no need to be a night owl; my Dad & brother will be on east coast time. We will do an early bird New Year's toast at 9 pm haha! (We will do the real toast at midnight of course.) Phil & I have a bet on who will get tired first, my Dad or brother. Not sure if they will make it to midnight (would be 3 am for them).

(There are also Beginner classes.) Open Dancing is a mix of music. FIRST TIMERS FREE (except on a few special occasions). We are both available for private lessons there, but with limited space & time slots. Please schedule in advance.

* Once you have moved up from our Beginner level classes to Intermediate and then later Advanced, you are welcome to continue taking our Beginner classes for FREE! We want to encourage you to continue working on your basics; that is most important to develop a strong foundation. The best dancers usually are the ones who have worked on their basics for years. When you keep taking Beginner classes, you are also helping the new students to progress faster, since they get to rotate & dance with more experienced dancers.
We hope that you have enjoyed this episode of "As the Dancer Turns..." I know that we have! Stay tuned for more entertaining issues.
Please explore our website for more info. We are also available for private dance lessons. Send us Facebook friend requests if you want to be informed/updated by our Newsfeed and Wall Posts. Pease forward this to friends to spread the word!
Hope to see you dancing soon,
Mindia... & Phil ;-)
