More Happy Holiday wishes for everyone! Phil & I are extra grateful to have found a really magical home that we moved into this weekend! Please forgive us for not sending out a newsletter this last month; we have been a little busy LOL! Thank you to those that helped us; we are all moved in & slept in our new nesting place last night & really love it! More to come... find out about Hip Hop Phil from Victorville transforming into Farmer Phil who came down the hill! And more will be revealed about Fairy Jasmindia & garden adventures!
NEW YEAR'S EVE DANCE PARTY
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31st, 2015 at Westchester Elks Lodge in Playa Del Rey!
We are so excited about our party... over one hundred people are already coming, & plenty more will show up that night! You can still purchase tickets at the door. It will be a diverse crowd; some couples, as well as lots of singles & solos! The Intermediate West Coast Swing workshop (must know basics) will be at 7:30 pm. There will not be a Beginner WCS workshop (regular class schedule resumes January 7th).
EVENT LIST: Fun decorations... check! Yummy snacks/ dessert menu planned... check! Amazing people coming to celebrate... check! Florida VIPs Steve & Russ getting ready to pack... check! Great music planned... check! Fabulous hosts... check! Snazzy outfits... check!
AND you may as well continue celebrating with us two days later at our first 1st Saturday event of 2016! We will give you New Year's Day off to rest & recover (we will need it too, although we have a very important family ping pong re-match scheduled).

JACOBISMS: ENDLESS ENTERTAINMENT FROM OUR FOUR-YEAR OLD GRANDSON!
We have had a few family dinners over the holidays... & Jacob had us all laughing as usual! First Jacob wanted more bread, but Phil's son's wife's mother (figure that one out) said that he needed to finish his chicken first. Then Krissi (Jacob's Mom) discovered that Jacob had hid his chicken under the cranberry! I told him he could always sneak it to the dog under the table LOL! Then it was dessert time, & Robert (Jacob's Dad/ Phil's son) cut the first slice of pecan pie, & handed it to Jacob. The slice was crumbled, all broken up in many pieces. Jacob made a face & while rejecting it, said, "That piece is for somebody else. Don't make a mess of my piece, Daddy!"
Krissi told Jacob to be polite. Jacob replied, "PLEASE don't make a mess of my piece, Daddy!" Later we took some photos, & I showed Jacob on my phone how cute he looked. He grabbed my phone, & instantly new how to enlarge the pic, as he blocked us out & zoomed in on himself! He said that he liked the photos, but told me to be sure next time to get videos! And by the way, despite the stories & teasing over the last several years, the name "Gramindia" is growing on me! But just in case, four-year old Jacob is teaching two-year old Aiden (the second of our four grandkids) how to say, "Mindia!" Actually, Aiden did say my name for the first time on Christmas Day. What an amazing gift! More to come later on our other three grandkids!
And speaking of family... congrats Ben & Megan for getting engaged! Do we have at least a few years before we will have more grandkids? Haha!

*PUNCH CARDS! We have punch cards available for purchase: ten classes for $100 w/ the eleventh class FREE! You can use the card for my classes or Phil's classes. Punch cards do not expire. We do take credit cards in person or through our web-store.

GUEST INSTRUCTORS CHRISTIAN COUNTRY ROUND-UP DANCE: ALL ARE WELCOME! OUR DANCE TEAM PERFORMS! FREE FOR FIRST TIMERS! THEME TBA. You can usually find us at the Clubhouse in Placentia (formerly the Atomic) on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the CCR Dance. We will teach three classes; Spins & Turn Technique at 6:15pm (open to any level), & two Intermediate classes for WEST COAST SWING TBA at 6:45pm & 7:25pm. (Must know your basics; no partner needed). There is usually a theme & treats! (There are also Beginner classes.) Open Dancing is a mix of music. FIRST TIMERS FREE (except on a few special occasions). We are both available for private lessons there, but with limited space & time slots. Please schedule in advance.

COST: $20, or $15 for SoCal Christian Dance Club Members. Membership is only $20 for the entire year.
* All of our classes are drop-in (some do run in a series). No partner needed for any of our classes. No prior dance experience needed for Beginner classes. Two left feet are welcomed; we will introduce you to your right foot! (Phil wanted credit for that last comment.)
* Once you have moved up from our Beginner level classes to Intermediate and then later Advanced, you are welcome to continue taking our Beginner classes for FREE! We want to encourage you to continue working on your basics; that is most important to develop a strong foundation. The best dancers usually are the ones who have worked on their basics for years. When you keep taking Beginner classes, you are also helping the new students to progress faster, since they get to rotate & dance with more experienced dancers.
